Who Is Trent Shields?

I’m a tech guy. I’ve been playing with computers and tech since the old days of the apple IIe and the TRS80. For years I was tech support for my family and friends. I was looking to expand my hobby into a part time business so I went back to university and upgraded my skill set.

Armed with a full toolbox and many lessons learned from trial and error, I started my business in 1998. My consulting business has evolved over time from a local tech support to web development and design. I still support my local customers, but now work primarily on web

I can’t claim to be an expert in everything, but with a little help here and there, I solve the problem more often than not. I truly enjoy the challenge and feel that I grow and feel fulfilled when pushed. I am excited by some of the changes that have come out in the web recently. Web standards and increased support for css has made the job of web development so much easier. I can now spend more time on the design and the look of the site than on making the backend work.
